Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are the buildings all fitted out?
A: We can either just supply and install the superstructure, install plumbing and electrics or completely fit the building out with decorative finishes and floor coverings, so that it is ready to use.

Q: Can the building be constructed in materials other than wood?
A: We frequently provide external finishes to buildings in materials such as brick, stone or render. A variety of roof finishes are offered too. Planning authorities may insist on particular finishes to fit in with local practice. We still construct the building using a timber frame, for ease and speed of installation.

Q: Are the buildings well insulated?
A: Excellent levels of (Rockwool) insulation translates into low U-values and high thermal efficiency to comply with the latest Building Regulation standards.

Q: We have already had our architect design our building, can you let us know how much it would cost?
A: If you are in early stages of the project, we would be happy to give you a budget price. If you are committed to a particular design and wish to go ahead, we would be delighted to give you a fixed price detailed quotation.

Q: Are the buildings mobile?
A: Buildings are normally erected on site using pre-machined, pressure treated timber. However, in certain situations we may recommend that part (or all) of the building is prefabricated in the factory. Alternatively we manufacture a range of volumetric Pinelodges which can be adapted to a variety of situations if mobility is particularly important.
