Pinelodges Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I live in a Pinelodge? A: Yes, they are constructed to BS:3632, which is the British Standard for Residential Park Homes. Q: I have a piece of land. Do I need planning permission to put a Pinelodge there? A: Generally speaking planning permission will be required because a Pinelodge provides self contained accommodation. However, there are situations where a Local Authority may agree to siting a Pinelodge under the rules of Permitted Development. We recommend that your discuss this with your particular Authority. Q: I already have planning permission for a 'Chalet' rather than a Mobile Home. Can I still have a Pinelodge? A: Yes, but the Pinelodge would be built to Building Regulation standards rather than to BS:3632 (see above). This would incur some additional cost, which we can quote for you. Q: I would like to suggest alterations to your standard layout plans. Is this possible? A: Yes. Because Pinelodges are made individually to order, we can accommodate most requests for customisation, within reason. Q: Do I have to buy your soft furnishings? A: No. These are optional and if you wish we can supply the lodge without furnishings. Q: Your Price List is Ex works. How much does it cost for delivery and siting? A: This depends upon the size of lodge and the distance travelled from Bakewell. On average, we recommend you to budget between £2500 and £3000. Accurate prices are always given at quotation stage. Q: How much access is needed for delivery? A: A 20ft wide Pinelodge is delivered in two halves on low loader lorries. Approximate height clearance is around 16 feet and width clearance 15 feet. If there is any doubt about access we will survey this on your behalf. Q: I don't have any land. Where can I buy a Pinelodge already sited? A: As well as owning our own holiday park where we have Pinelodges available for purchase and holiday rental, we work with a number of holiday parks throughout the UK who also offer Pinelodges. If you are interested in a residential lodge we recommend you to contact a suitable park direct. Please bear in mind that out Retail Price List is ex-works only and sited prices for Pinelodges will vary depending upon location, park facilities, security of tenure, etc. Q: How long will a Pinelodge last? A: All external timbers are vacuum pressure treated against rot and infestation. Subject to normal maintenance, we would expect a Pinelodge to last, literally, a lifetime. Q: How are the Pinelodges heated? A: Our standard 'fitted' lodge specification includes a domestic rated gas or electric fire plus low wattage panel heaters to provide background heating. We can fit alternative central heating systems if required. Prices on application. Q: Are the Pinelodges guaranteed? A: Yes. We offer a 10 year structural guarantee.
