commercial buildings - FAQ

What does Pinelog's service include?

We design, supply and install the superstructure, ready for your selected local contractor to install plumbing and electrics and fit the building out with decorative finishes and floor coverings, so that it is ready to use, this gives you complete financial control over your budget by enabling you to use your own preferred local contractors.

Can the building be constructed in materials other than wood?

We frequently provide buildings ready to accept external finishes by your local contractor in materials such as brick, stone or render.  A variety of roof finishes are offered too.  Planning authorities may insist on particular finishes to fit in with local practice.  We still construct the building using a timber frame, for ease and speed of installation.

Are the buildings well insulated?

The building can be insulated to whatever level you require, to achieve Building Regulations or better, either by your own local contractor or by Pinelog.

We have already had our architect design our building, can you let us know how much it would cost?

If you are in early stages of the project, we would be happy to give you a budget price.  If you are committed to a particular design and wish to go ahead, we would be delighted to give you a fixed price detailed quotation.

Does Pinelog offer a design and planning service?

Pinelog's in-house design service is headed by an RIBA qualified director and we have received numerous design awards for our finished projects.

We offer a free friendly consultation with no commitment with our in-house qualified design team and can completely handle the design process from initial feasibility sketches through to Planning and Building Regulation applications.

Are the buildings mobile?

No, normally our buildings are erected on site using pre-machined, pressure treated timber.  However, in certain situations we may recommend that part (or all) of the building is prefabricated in the factory.  Alternatively we manufacture a range of volumetric Pinelodges which can be adapted to a variety of situations if mobility is particularly important.
