Silver Bay Spa Leisure Centre

Situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a spectacular on-site leisure centre has now opened on this beautiful holiday village, providing a complete spa experience for holiday makers. Facilities include a children’s splash pool, and a separate 15m x 8m pool with dedicated lanes, a fitness suite with state of the art cardio and resistance equipment; a beauty therapy area, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna.

The owners of Silver Bay Holiday Village chose Pinelog to design the leisure centre based on their specialist experience in this field. Pinelog’s in-house architects submitted the planning application and after a formal tendering process Pinelog were chosen to construct the complete project.

Constructed using a timber frame supported by curved glulam beams and using local materials wherever possible, the building also makes full use of the amazing coastal views. The external walls are clad in render with feature walls built of locally sourced stone and clad in European Larch which will be allowed to weather naturally to a silver grey. The roof covering is Trocal, in a slate grey colour, giving the appearance of a seamed lead material.
