New appointment for Pinelog’s sales team

Lucy Wood has re-joined Chesterfield-based Pinelog Limited, one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of luxury timber lodges and buildings, following a seven-year career break.

She has returned to her role of Account Manager at Pinelog. Within the role Lucy will be supporting the company’s Sales Manager Judy Barwell, managing enquiries and creating technical floorplans for customers as part of the first stage of their Pinelog timber lodge buying experience.

Previously employed between 2005 – 2017, Lucy worked under Pinelog’s recently retired Associate Director Paula Skelton at its site in Bakewell. The company relocated its head office and manufacturing facility to a larger site in Chesterfield in 2022 ahead of its planned expansion.

Lucy’s appointment is one of a number over the last 12 months as part of Pinelog’s drive to increase its share of the luxury timber lodge market in its fiftieth anniversary year.

She commented: “I am really excited to return to both Pinelog and the holiday park sector after a career break to focus on my children. I have always loved the design aspect of the role and am delighted to once again take up the job I loved so much at a company that has played such a significant part in my career to date.”

Lucy’s return to the company coincides with the retirement of Pinelog’s Associate Director and holiday lodge industry stalwart Paula Skelton.

Lucy added: “Paula originally introduced me to the design aspect of the role and trained me in the use of AutoCAD. I will miss Paula but am excited to work alongside Judy and drive forward the sales function at Pinelog.”

The new, larger site at Sheepbridge in Chesterfield has enabled Pinelog to bring together the entire production and sales processes, increasing both jobs and production of its class-leading lodges.

As well as the production of complete holiday lodges, components for the construction of timber Glulam framed commercial buildings designed and built by Pinelog are also manufactured at the site.

Welcoming Lucy back to Pinelog, Nick Grayson, Chairman of Pinelog Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lucy back to Pinelog. She knows us well and is skilled in our high quality design process so has been able to hit the ground running.”

Spanning nearly half a century of timber lodge design and production, Pinelog is recognised as a pioneer in the holiday park sector. Its timber lodges can be found on a number of award-winning holiday parks including Kelling Heath Holiday Park in Norfolk, Darwin Forest in the Peak District National Park and Mercia Marina in Derby.

If you are a holiday park operator and looking to invest in UK designed and manufactured luxury sustainable timber lodges, speak to Lucy or Judy on 01246 942842 to discuss how Pinelog can help you.
