Moulton College has an unrivalled reputation for excellence in training for land based industries. They required a pet shop and florist shop in their campus garden centre to be used as a training aid for horticultural and animal welfare students. The College wanted a building made of natural materials and due to their tight deadline the building had to be up and running within a short time.

Pinelog designed the building to the college's specific requirements, creating separate areas for a florist and pet shop, together with a store and washroom. A long run of decking outside provides a welcoming entrance to the two shops. Fully compliant with current Building Regulations, the retail unit benefits from the use of energy efficient materials and features, which translate into low long term maintenance and running costs. The internal pine cladding is both hard working and appealing. Externally the building benefits from durable and attractive larch cladding.

The building was pre-manufactured in Pinelog's Bakewell factory and delivered to site in four sections, craned onto simple raft footings and bolted together.

Pinelog was able to build, complete and hand over the building just 9 weeks after the order was placed.
